Castle grounds rules and regulations

Entry to the park 

  • The park remains open daily from 6am to 8pm from 15 March until 14 October and from 6am to 6pm from 15 October until 14 March 
  • Visitors to the park are charged an entrance fee per the currently valid price list 
  • In order to enter the park it is necessary either to gain one-time access by means of the slot machine next to the turnstile or to purchase a ticket at the castle ticket office or by means of the ticket machine across the castle ticket office
  • Children under the age of 6 (accompanied by parents/chaperons) and the disabled (holders of a ZTP and ZTP/P card) can obtain free tickets at the castle ticket office only
  • Baby pram access tickets can be obtained at the castle ticket office or by means of the ticket machine across the castle ticket office only
  • Visitors can purchase an annual entrance card to the park at the castle ticket office during its opening hours
  • Fishing permit holders can purchase an annual entrance card by means of a deposit
  • Visitors enter the park at their own risk
  • Bicycles, scooters and other means of transport are strictly prohibited in the park
  • Teachers and chaperons are responsible for groups of children
  • The area is monitored by CCTV surveillance

The following are strictly prohibited throughout the castle grounds:


  • Entering the park without a valid ticket, an annual card, or without gaining access by means of the slot machine
  • Remaining in the park outside of opening hours without a valid fishing permit 
  • Straying away from the park footpaths, entering the wooded areas, streams and ponds, meadows and flower beds 
  • Littering and being socially obtrusive
  • Pestering the wildlife 
  • Damaging, stealing and manipulating of structures, objects and equipment 
  • Damaging and stealing plants, flowers, trees, bushes and grassland 
  • Feeding animals with inappropriate feed
  • Letting dogs run loose (dogs must be kept on a leash)
  • Lighting fires and camping throughout the grounds, as well as camping and smoking in the wooded areas of the park
  • Consuming drugs and other intoxicating substances in the park, or entering the park under the influence of drugs or other intoxicating substances 
  • Commercial photographs and videos without permission by Castle Management (taking individual photos and videos for private use is allowed)
  • Using drones
  • The placement of selling, advertising, informational or other media
  • Picnics, ball games and other group activities
