Under the baton of renowned conductor Robert Jindra, masterworks by Bedřich Smetana and Antonín Dvořák will be performed by the National Theatre opera orchestra.
The main star of this exceptional evening will be Adam Plachetka, one of the greatest Czech opera singers of our time, who has conquered stages around the world. His voice will be heard in iconic roles that define the Czech opera repertoire.

Robert Jindra has been the music director of the National Theatre Opera in Prague since the 2022/2023 season. He graduated from the Prague Conservatory and has worked as a conductor at leading opera venues in the Czech Republic and abroad – including the Bavarian State Opera, Deutsche Oper am Rhein, and the Norwegian Opera in Oslo. On the domestic scene, he has been behind numerous productions of Czech and international repertoire, including works by Smetana, Dvořák, Janáček, Mozart, and Verdi. His most recent production (March 2025) is Janáček’s opera From the House of the Dead in Frankfurt am Main. Since the 2022/2023 season, he has also been the principal guest conductor of the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra.
A native of Prague, Adam Plachetka graduated from the Prague Conservatory under Professor Luděk Löbl and from HAMU (Academy of Performing Arts).
In 2005, he debuted at the National Theatre in Prague, where he has since performed roles such as Don Giovanni, Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro, Il barbiere di Siviglia), Nardo (La finta giardiniera), Argante (Rinaldo), Guglielmo (Così fan tutte), Přemysl (Libuše), and Vladislav (Dalibor).
He regularly performs at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Vienna State Opera, and the Salzburg Festival. On concert stages, he has appeared at venues such as the Musikverein in Vienna and Graz, Wigmore Hall in London, Usher Hall in Edinburgh, Herkulessaal in Munich, Vienna’s Konzerthaus, Konserthuset in Stockholm, Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, and Prague’s Municipal House and Rudolfinum. He has collaborated with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the French, Bavarian, Austrian, and Czech Radio Symphony Orchestras, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, the Czech Philharmonic, Vienna Symphony Orchestra, Stockholm Royal Philharmonic, and Budapest Festival Orchestra.
