The Incredibly Sad Princess at Blatná Castle

We cordially invite you to a magnificent theatrical experience in the English park of Blatná Castle. The Incredibly Sad Princess, performed by the phenomenal Studio DVA theatre company, will take place on July 11 and 12, 2025 at 9:00 PM.

This unforgettable theatrical adaptation of the legendary musical film, beloved by all generations, tells the story of a prince and princess from neighboring kingdoms. At their fathers’ request, they are to marry, but they decide to take fate into their own hands and choose their life partners themselves.

Now you have a unique opportunity to see this story in the very heart of the castle park in a live performance by Studio DVA theatre under the direction of Šimon Caban with orchestral arrangements by Kryštof Marek.

You can look forward to excellent acting performances by Berenika Kohoutová/Vendula Příhodová, Jan Cina, Jan Kraus, Oldřich Navrátil, Bohumil Klepl, and others.

We recommend selecting your seat in the auditorium as soon as possible, as the performances have been completely sold out for the past two years. For a better viewing experience and comfort, we have again arranged for an elevated grandstand.

VIP Tickets: VIP tickets are available for the performance, which include reserved seating (rows 1-6 in the center of the grandstand) with a blanket and welcome drink on the western terrace of Rejt Palace with a breathtaking view of the castle park before the performance begins (entry possible from 7:30 PM).

Viewers who purchased tickets for the July 13, 2024 performance are eligible for a 40% discount, which can be applied to The Incredibly Sad Princess performances at Blatná Castle on July 11 and 12, 2025. The discount can be applied by sending the 2024 order number to info@zamek-blatna.cz. If the ticket was purchased directly at the castle box office, you must send a scan of the purchased ticket or proof of payment to info@zamek-blatna.cz.
