Karel Roden and Jana Krausová, under the directorial baton of Patrik Hartl, will shine at Blatná Castle in a desperately venomous tragicomedy about the dark side of love. The now legendary play OPEN MARRIAGE launched Studio DVA’s activities in 2002 and has regularly appeared in theater programs throughout the Czech Republic ever since.
Come and enjoy this brilliant tragicomedy about one peculiar married couple in the romantic setting of our English park. Open Marriage, from the pen of Italian dramatist and Nobel Prize for Literature winner Dario Fo and his wife Franca Rame, is an acting opportunity for two outstanding actors – Jana Krausová and Karel Roden.
The comedy is an eternal clash of masculine and feminine principles and a grotesque battlefield of the relationship between two people who, while comically awkwardly searching for love and harmony in partnership life, destroy each other. Above all, however, audiences can, through laughter during anxious confrontations in conflict situations, penetrate into the core of these characters and grow fond of them along with their weaknesses and imperfections.
