20^th Annual Blatná Photo Festival

We cordially invite you to the anniversary year of the Blatná Photo Festival, which, over the course of 20 years, welcomed the best photographers from the domestic scene (such as Antonín Kratochvíl, Libuše Jarcovjáková, Pavel Baňka, Bára Prášilová, Jindřich Štreit and many others).

You can look forward to exhibitions of major representatives of the Czechoslovak photographic scene as well as smaller projects of emerging authors who have been selected by our expert jury. The exhibitors of 2025 are: Iwona Germanek, Wlasta Laura, Jana Hunterová, Nadia Rovderová, Kateřina Sýsová, Pavel Ziegler, Kevin V. Ton, Zlatuše Josefa Müller, Michał Konrad, Tomáš Chadim, Fotografie Sutnarka and 36 other photographers of the so-called Open Call. The whole weekend will be moderated by Honza Flaška and accompanied by violinist Gabriela Vermelho.

You can visit the exhibitions at more than 10 places in Blatná (Castle Blatná, the Blatná Municipal Museum, the U Bílého Lva House, St. Michael the Archangel Chapel, etc.). The accompanying programme, i.e., lectures by leading photographers and the Echoes of “Fotojatka”, will take place in the cinema hall of the Sokolovna. The Blatná Photo Festival was first held in 2006 by the local photography club KAMFO on the occasion of its 50th anniversary. KAMFO, headed by photographer Kamila Berndorffová, organised many subsequent years with minimal resources and much enthusiasm. Today the BPF is organised by the Kulturní Plantáž Blatná culture department, a state-funded institution, with the help of the photography club.
