On the weekend of 6 – 7 September 2025, Castle Blatna, together with the Blatná Castle Distillery and Brewery, will once again come alive with the flavours, sounds, and colours of the third annual Pear Harvest Festival. Visitors can look forward to two full days of pear delicacies, entertainment, and family fun set against the stunning backdrop of the castle and its park.
Throughout the weekend, guests will be able to taste a wide variety of pear-inspired specialities, from sweet cakes and dumplings to refreshing drinks and cocktails. The programme will be enriched by guided tours of the Blatná Castle Distillery and Brewery, offering a fascinating insight into the art of creating exceptional spirits and beer. Competitions for all ages, including the popular pear dumpling eating contest and the competition for the best pear cake, will provide plenty of laughter and excitement, while Kirill Rudak’s bartending show will amaze with creativity and skill.
The atmosphere of the festival will be enhanced by live performances of the Mladá dudácká muzika from Strakonice, whose traditional bagpipe music will add a unique charm to the event. Families with children will especially enjoy the castle park, which will be transformed into a lively family zone filled with fun activities and games, artisan stalls, and regional specialities. The Czech Repubrick Lego® Model exhibition for all the family will offer another highlight for visitors of all ages, and guided tours of the castle will provide the opportunity to explore its rich history.
